Well, the angry kitchen appliances have been playing with the thought of doing something about it, but nothing yet. A simple, but ugly, solution is to use the extra switch in the turning indicator stalk (the one that was used on the US market to turn on the side lights) to control a mute relay glued to the inside of the SID. :-/ At the moment there is no time for such things as I am quite busy programming a bunch of PowerPC processors so they will be able to execute the operative software for the system computer in the Saab Gripen fighter. Much more challenging than a SID that may drop display lines if not treated with care.
