2002 Air Conditioning Turn -off

I have had my 2002 Aero sedan for two weeks and really love the car. I wanted to share a controls problem I fixed with the Auto Air conditioning. When I received the car, the A/C turned off everytime I restarted the car. This was a major annoyance, but dealer told me it sounded like it was working normal. What I eventually discovered is that the personalization program was set to 'Off' as the preset start-up setting. I turned off the personalization (as shown in the owners manual) and it fixed the problem. Now the A/C comes up with the same setting as when you shut the car down, which is the logical way it should work.
Since having this problem, what surprised me is that I've talked to two Saab 95 owners who lived with the a/c turning off at every ignition cycle, figuring it one of those oddities that couldn't be changed. I'm wondering how many owners are living with this problem, not knowing they can change it??? It sure is a pain to have to remember to turn on the a/c at every start-up.
