Dropped oil pan 2002 v6 (pics)

Since the exhaust is down I decided to drop my oil pan even though the v6 isn't supposed to have sludge problems. Mainly did it for peace of mind, because I found our pcv valve had failed, and because the turbo and exhaust were out so access was easy. FYI for my '02 v6 Arc, dropping the oil pan was really easy. All of the screws and bolts were accessible (no drilling) as long as you had a 10mm ratchet with extensions and a box wrench or spanner for the bolts on the transmission side. Also, the oil pickup and baffle were not attached to the oil pan, they are still attached to the engine after the pan is dropped. Here is a link to the before pic, and you should be able to see the after pic and the oil pickup screen from that link.
I did not find sludge, but the interior of everything looks to be carmelized (best way I can describe it) and brake cleaner and a small metal bristled brush cleaned the pan up very quickly.
