I'm pushing almost 10 yrs of ownership on my 9-5 Aero (bought new, love it, won't sell it!), but age is clearly taking its toll (recent A/C compressor, intercooler, shocks, subframe bushings). My car suffered the same symptoms mentioned ....although I had a code reader and reset the code, so I was able to keep using Cruise and A/C. Probably a mistake....Throttle was uber-sensitive, but as I came into LA traffic, it was clear the throttle stayed open around 2500 rpm, so I had red hot brakes by the time I got to my mechanic. Nothing quite like making a right turn from a stop and not having to even touch the accelerator!
I ordered the BBA Reman throttle body. People seem happy with them, and in the current situation, I don't think it makes sense to pay over $650 to buy and ship a new one from the UK, and I don't want to wait.. Plus, lifetime warranty is a pretty good deal for $250.
The wagon will be parked until then...that being said, this car has NEVER stranded me.
My '94 900TC will now be the car of choice for the LA "We are Saab" rally this weekend! Happy Rallying, everyone!
Cheers,
Paul H.
