That "argument" will not get you anywhere.
When Saab designed the engines for the 9-5 they made them low friction engines. This resulted in some changes compared to the 9000 engines. One change was lower piston ring pressure to reduces friction against the cylinder walls. This change results in more soot in the engine oil (turns black quicker in 9-5 than in 9000) and more blow by (higher crankcase pressure). The resulting crankcase pressure increases the probability that oil can travel through the crankcase ventilation system and take part of the combustion. Saab has tried to correct this by changing the crankcase ventilation system with larger holes and a larger oil trap. There are instructions available on what to check, what hole to increase from, IIRC, 3 to 4mm, and how to replace the oil trap with the larger version.
Not all 9-5 "suffer" from this smoke problem, but it is quite "normal" and isn't dangerous.
