I was able to remove the antenna and insert the old key that is matched to the Twice unit and was able to crank the starter with the new unprogramed key in the key cylinder. However the unlock button on the console does not work. As I walked away from the car I clicked the remote and got an unlock chip. The button on the console still doesn't work and now the remote isn't working again. I don't want to lock it. I don't know what to think it ready to have the key programed at the dealer or not. What worries me is that the lock unlock button on the console doesn't function and neither does the remote. I am going to try a new battery in the remote but not optomistic as the remote should not impact the functionality of the console unlock button. Is it going to be a wasted trip to the dealer .Nearest dealer or service dept with tech 2 is 70 miles. So it will have to be towed.
