The official Saab name is Jalousie. Anyone who has built a Sun Room or Florida Room knows Jalousie Windows are the type with multiple individual panels of glass that adjust together for opening or closing by turning a single crank handle.
A Tamdour is the flexible part of a roll-top desk comprised of many identical slats of wood glued to a canvas backing. The Tamdour is the single element that actually defines a Roll-top Desk.
The Jalousie in our 9-5s is the piece of flexible grooved plastic that slides with the shifter lever so that there is no open slot in the console.
