Don't know. I am just trying to point out that a puff of blue smoke does not automatically indicate a broken turbo unit. There are several possible causes of the blue smoke, but on the board it seems that the recommendation is to immediately have the dealer replace the turbo instead of trying to find the real problem. AFAIK Saab is now much more restrictive in replacing turbo units on warranty unless they are broken, a puff of blue smoke now and then is not enough. My own 9-5 has been producing these small puffs of blue smoke for three years now. Not every time, perhaps just once every two weeks or so. It does not consume any noticeable quantities of oil, and the turbo checks out ok and is still doing its job.
Blue smoke during acceleration, however, would make me worried.
