OEM Spring will NOT last Posted by jeff02 [Email] (#2992) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jeff02) on Wed, 21 Mar 2012 17:16:52 In Reply to: Re: Could please anybody with 02-05 Arc wagon look up...+, AdamSAAB2kAero [Profile/Gallery] , Wed, 21 Mar 2012 14:39:13 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
OEM Springs will NOT last. I have been there and done that on about 3 cars. Maybe there are some other vendors out there, but I have not found any that are not lowering springs. Unless you find a custom / spring meant for another car, spacers might be your only answer. Sedans have the option of putting wagon springs on and that works pretty well. But I have not seen a longer / softer spring for wagons unless you can find one from another application. Please keep in mind that on wagons you have to watch out for right height not doing too low with loads, etc.
For a 100% solution, replace all worn bushings first. Then get the spring and shock that you want. Mount and measure ride height. If low, put in spacers to height and then get it aligned. ....
