2008 Aero Wiper Blades???? Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 25 Mar 2012 07:14:11 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I installed new wiper blades on my wife's 9-3SC yesterday then decided to play with the wipers on my Aero to see how they attach.
I managed to break off the locking tab on the passenger side wiper before finding the answer. Dang! Luckily a thru hole on the arm was visible thru the opening in the nylon sleeve of the blade anchor so now that blade is wired onto the arm to prevent it from flying off.
Does anyone other than Saab make these blades?
It appears they simply slide onto the end of the arm, which makes a small dog-leg to slip within the anchoring sleeve, until the locking tab snaps into a hole in the arm. Is this correct?
How do you remove them without breaking them? Although I suppose it doesn't really matter with dead blades.
