Razor Saw Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Alarm module: how to get apart?, ELaw ![]() ![]() |
Available from Hobby Shops they have a tall thin blade and many small teeth. A new hacksaw blade may be adequate too. The siren unit can be glued together with RTV when your repairs are complete.
The early sirens 1998-2001 had a screw together case. After that they were glued together necessitating the use of a fine saw or soldering iron style hot knife to open.
You may as well replace the capacitors when you are inside the case. On my unit the batteries failed first but the capacitors failed a year later.
