2000 wagon with broken stop arm for drivers blend door (classic ACC code 08). Blend door shaft is not broken. The OEM white plastic one 5334701 is on national backorder so I ordered an aluminum one 5334701H from the saabsite.
After more than an hour, I cannot seem to get the aluminum arm to fit. Of course, I'm scared of breaking the arm. I enlarged it slightly around the notches--no help yet. Next idea is a reamer to slightly enlarge the circle.
Anyone? I found a few posts saying that these were a TIGHT fit and a couple of people that gave up and went to the white plastic. Wish that were still an open.
I love the look of the full repair arm for $95 from genuinesaab (taliaferro) but cutting a non-broken shaft to put that on seems like a bad idea.
