SaabAux is a device that tricks the head unit (AC3 in my case) to thinking it's seeing input from a CD exchanger and is actually seeing Aux input from an MP3 player - iPod(s) in my case. It's an easy installation. Takes maybe 45 minutes - taking my time. The biggest challenge is separating the top of part of the three tier connector on the head unit and not nicking a wire. I'd recommend a headphone amp such as CMOY (see eBay) or Electric Avenues PAV2V2 as the gain level off a device like an iPod is significantly less than the radio or CD player.
My main question is whether there's any problem in leaving the igition in the "on" position for 20 minutes or so. Will that harm components like the DIC?
