Maximum luggage compartment load

The 2006-2009 9-5 manuals have a change from earlier manuals. The specifications state:
Maximum luggage compartment load§ ___ 176 lbs. (80 kg)
Maximum combined load, luggage compartment
and roof ___________________ 264 lbs. (120 kg)
That § doesn't seem to refer to anything that I can find. Others are welcome to direct me if you can figure it out.
These numbers seem very low given the GVWR, axle ratings, and GVW weight distribution. It seems someone at Saab knew something was going wrong with the 9-5 suspension when loaded. This is in addition to changes in the WIS regarding the use and limit of the number of shims and the removal of the suspension alignment tables.
Can we compare this to the Swedish and UK manuals? Anyone know how I can access those?
How does this luggage load compare to other vehicles?
