I used and OEM lower pad from a dealer. I could not find a singly burned spot in the pad to fix. I left the old pad in place as it was glued on the foam and was going to really make a mess removing it.
I found this to be be a tedious job. Take plenty of time to do it.
remove the seat and remove all the "hog rings" to get the leather covering off. make you you have hog rings and hog ring piers on hand before you do the job. eBay is a good source for this stuff as the local hardware store may not carry them....but I did find some at OSH, but they were pretty big. HF has hog ring pliers.
