Benny, you are torturing yourself! From reading your more recent posts, it sounded like you had decided to buy a new one... You are the only one who can decide whether to buy new or used, but at least you know that you want a Saab! Here are a few thoughts for you:

I believe there is a significant difference in the suspension between a '99 and an '02. From what I understand, the '02 Linear has the suspension from the '99-'01 Aero. The '02 is smooth, but more rigid, less sway. If you really like the feel of the '02, be sure you test drive the '99 before you make your final decision. They may feel significantly different enough that it will be obvious which one you like better. I just bought an '02 Aero because I like the very rigid suspension :)

It really all depends on how much you want to spend on a car. If $10K isn't a big concern, buy the new Saab and enjoy it! If you want to spend the additional money on something else, buy a used Saab, and enjoy it! Life is all about priorities. You might discover that you like the car so much you find more excuses to go driving!
