There is a MacKay heater-hose set that bypasses the heater bypass valve setup entirely. It's the ultimate solution. The heater valves tend to leak eventually and need to be eliminated from the system. Its a pain in the butt to get to the clamps to remove the valve having some special hose clamp pliers/tools are helpful) and removing all the associated hoses from way back there in the engine compartment can be tricking, but the fix is well worth it in the long run. After that you can reroute the vacuum lines and pretty much just remove the solenoid valve completely. Though the ACC (automatic climate control) will set a code if the solenoid is unplugged it shouldn't effect the climate functions in any way.
