I read MonteryAuto's saga like troubleshooting. I got some good hints from it. So first I removed the starter relay, tested it... the continuity was not 100%..but was pretty good. So I rigged the #30 to #86 jumper. WIth this jumper the starter responded 100% to closing the jumper circuit. Instantly, no delay - conclusion - starter motor is not likely the issue. So I was looking at the relays and HEY the fuel flap relay is identical to the starter relay...SWAPEROOO!!!!. Did this and have not been able to replicate the sluggish response yet. At least knowing how to do the jumper I know I won't be stranded, just delayed....so hopefully this is it. I should know in a few days..and will post my findings.. of course if the fuel flap does not open then we will have the smoking gun!!!
