Just like when they bought a new Saab in 2000 and asked the salesman, how often should I change the oil?
Every 10K miles.
Oh really?? I thought you needed to change the oil every 3K miles.
Oh no, these new Saab's and the special oil we are using is good for 10K mile intervals.
And little do they know and NOONE pointed it out that under extreme driving conditions, the oil has to be changed every 5K miles.
Definition of extreme driving condition is the 2 mile trip to Church every Sunday. Who would have known that?
