You probably already have read my post from 18 months ago - I paraphrased Frans Swaalf of Netherlands
I did NOT remove the clip inside the car cabin. In your picture #2, when the clip on the rusty outer tube is pressed up (preferably without fully removing), you should be able to pull the pedal linkage back toward the driver's seat (not too far). This will leave only the plunger for the brake booster sticking out of the booster. IIRC it IS very tight to remove the booster, but it will come out - if the fuse box has been moved over far enough, and in my case I believe that I needed to really deflect one of the lines off the ABS unit a little. I remember that there was just barely enough room, but that it did work.
Be really careful with that clip on the outer-inner rods because I don't know where to get a replacement one. Hope this helps a little
