The 5W/40 goes in the 9-5, the 0W/40 goes in the 9-3.
I used Mobil-1 0W/40 in my old 9-5 for two oil changes shortly after it was released here in the US back in 2004 and had oil consumption issues with it in the B235 engine. Maybe it was because of the intermediate iterations to the PCV system, maybe it was because of the oil. Either way I stayed with 5W/40 after that, Mobil-1, Shell Rotella, and a lot of ELF/Total.
Below is the Used Oil Analysis of that engine at 295,000 miles running 5W/40, albeit a different brand.
