replacing a failed part is not maintenance, it's a repair. I'd say that you can be cleared of the charges that you are overly anal about Saab Maintenance. It's time to:
- Check the code, for real this time.
- If it is IDM related, just replace it. why wait?
- If not, no need to replace the IDM, but why not get to the bottom of it?
btw I have always found that fixing things early is always easier and less expensive than letting it play out until total failure.
