Michigan roads are some of the worst in the country and I like the Aero suspension better than the non-Aero. I retrofitted my 2000 lpt with an Aero suspension kit when the OE front struts failed due to age. Big improvement!
Rear shocks tend to last 100K miles max. Front struts can last 200K miles. Rear springs on Aero wagons are notorious for softening with age causing the back ends to sag and tires to wear on the inside edge. Rear springs on Aero sedans don't have the same reputation. Maybe people tend to overload the wagons, maybe the Aero wagon springs have a design error.
