Which engine?
If the fuel pump hasn't been replaced I would do it ASAP as its about at what I got mileage wise before it went. The water pump is also right there at replacement time if this is the 4cyl. The alt is a pain to get off the back of the engine on the 4, though I think its usually the bearings that fail so you get some warning with the bearing noise. Mine failed prematurely just after the warranty period. 140-180,000 is probably about right though personally I would just replace the whole unit if you have to get it off of a 4. I would spend the $ for platinum plugs if you didn't as it seemslike cheap insurance on the DIC due to their efficiency. I've got 100,000 plus on the black after the recall replacement so far.
That exhaust seem odd to be rusted already. I've got a 2002 and the cat back is still serviceable- just the usual perforations in the rear silencer shield.
Enjoy the 9-5. I've owned a lot of car brands over the years and the 9-5 is still one of my favorites for many reasons.
