Soak those screws! When I replaced the two license plate lights on my 2000 I soaked the lens screws but not quite enough. I was able to extract three of the screws but the fourth snapped when trying to remove it. Anders said these broken screws are accessible from inside the trunk lid after you remove the liner - just in case the same thing happens to you.
Remember to go easy on the brewskies EVERY time you will driving home. There is no such thing as a warning with DUIs anymore and the future cost of only one can be formidable.
