on my '07 SportCombi, got the tires with some anthracite Borbet LV5 wheels from TTR. I've been quite happy with the purchase, they're *much* more effective on snow/slush than my previous Bridgestone RE960A/S PP tires that were on the car previously. I have 215/55/16s, and they handle quite well in the dry compared to my normal 235/45/17 size (my current summer tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
The 3Ds are quiet, comfortable, and it's difficult to tell that they're winter tires - they're fantastic in heavy rain, and I've been pretty happy with them when I've been in snow deep enough to require chains. braking and handling are very good as well.
I've just ordered a set of Dunlop Winter Sport 4Ds for my BMW 328i touring, they're a new tire from Dunlop with a different rubber compound which results apparently in a rolling resistance that's 11% lower - doesn't sound like much, but with winter tires anything helps. They're getting here Friday, it will be interesting to see what they're like compared to the Dunlops.
