Unfortunately, the V6 have a much more complicated setup of heater hoses using that circulation for instance.
On that V6 with the clogged up radiator picture, when I had the intake manifold and throttle body off and all cooling hoses cleaning up the mess, I decided to remove the bypass valve but it took me a while to find hoses that fit both ends with different diameters.
I probably should have bypassed the circulation pump as well to make it easy.
And I wouldn't fiddle with it without removing the throttle body and upper intake at least.
On the 4cyl engine, it is the same labor to remove the bypass valve system and installing the regular heater hoses as it is to replace the bypass valve alone.
On the V6, the bypass valve is a lot easier to reach and replace.
