Lamp Sensing Relay or High Beam relay? Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Mon, 29 Oct 2012 10:32:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Ever since I bought my '08 Aero I have had issues with the driver's side high beam. When attempting to activate the high beams the driver's side would not illuminate and the "Lamp Failure" message would display on the SID.
Two weeks ago I replaced all four H7 lamps and everything worked great. This morning I again received the warning message and no driver's side High beam. This afternoon everything works A-OK again. Arrgh!
I am pretty certain this is pointing to a flaky Orange relay, but since that one is 4 to 6 times the cost of the High beam Relay I am asking if anyone has had a similar problem and discovered the less costly gray relay was the cause?
I can always swap gray relays around but with the intermittent nature of this problem I don't know how long before I would be certain the problem had been identified.
Thanks,
