If you've got saltwater where it shouldn't be though, that's a much different issue. You could try using a blow-dryer or heat gun on the ignition switch to see if you can dry it out enough to start it (or just take out the module and try to dry it that way - if you google "ignition module saab..." you should find instructions on how to take it out). The light error isn't good - though that could come from the ignition problem, though I'd imagine that a harness got wet somewhere.
