Unfortunately, WIS doesn't say when the oil pressure switch turns on the light on the V6 but I suspect it is way down and 45 Psi should be well enough to keep the light off.
It's a lot easier to test with a new pressure switch or run a new wire from switch and up than rebuilding the engine.
The wire is a sorry piece of engineering since it is integrated in the positive battery cable loom and connected to engine wire harness under the throttle body.
