the switch is just on and off. When the pressure is below 7 psi or so the switch closes and you get a light on the instrument panel telling you that you have low oil pressure.
the sender measures oil pressure and the resistance changes and tells the gauge what the pressure is. Not Saab parts, and you will have to install a separate internal gauge in the cockpit. I have a digital read out on the dash for oil pressure.
