Over the years I have been getting an engine warning light coming on with a code of P1577 (Rear break light open circuit)
I cleared this many times for the emissions and to keep the car running smoothly.
Today I finally found, after many replacement break light switches, the problem is the throttle body miss functioning. So the unit is being sent to BBA for refurbishment as the local Saab dealer had not a clue where to start with this code.
So the moral of this story is some codes don’t appear what they seem, be aware?
