Hello all. I hope somebody can help me. Recently I purchased a 1999 9-5 se with approximately 151xxx miles on it from an impound lot for an absurd price. I was aware that the turbo was bad and the catalytic converter had been stolen. After making those repairs there was a pretty bad misfire. I did the spark plugs air filter fuel filter put seafoam in the gas tank. The misfire continued. I determined all 3 of the back Bank spark plugs were black. Replaced coil cleaned plugs and 40 miles later they were black again. Still misfiring. Did compression testfogged intake found no leaks. Scoped crank sensor made square patte. Replace coils again. Both of them. Can hear all fuel injectors with scope. Sound fine. Cant figure this out. Still getting code p0300 and p1300 can't get plates because of emmisions. S Sometimes it runs fine. Gets 21 miles per gallon. In the morning when it is cold it sounds like it is rattling really badly from under the timing cover. Also when I am driving down the road and I let off the gas it surges and jerks a lot. I have taken this car to a shop and had it diagnost as coils repeatedly. Pay diagnostic fees for nothing. I love this car I hope someone here has experience something similar. Perhaps someone has some insight? Did I miss anything in my checking?
