If they supply the part (and probably some profit on the part) they should cover labor. If you supply the part then usually no labor warranty... My experience anyway. There should not even be any argument on this from my point of view.
Had a deal min-install the timing belt on a V6 and 11k later failed. At first they did not want to cover, but the inspecting dealer found the problem and let me know. They did end up covering the machine time / labor for one head that had to be redone. But no real arguing after they realized it simply was their fault. This was a mis-install not a part failure, fyi.
