That IS what I had in mind, but I have not seen one in a long time. Seems like a good solution. The rear stock Saab rear muffler is just a hugh glasspack. I has no baffles and a 2.5" core with holes in the central pipe. Saab has built in as much volume as possible over as long a length as possible with a double layer case. Adding a shorter more free flow muffler should give a much better sound and a bit more flow.
Too bad they don't make them any more.
