Just finished installing a Xenon headlamp on the driver's side. As others have noted, the job is much easier when you remove the battery and its tray (5 minutes at most). You need not remove the battery if you have hands the size of a 5 year old but with fingers long enough to palm a basketball, and an additional joint between the wrist and elbow. But the main point is that the metal "fingers" that hold the bulb assembly along its perimeter (out of which the bulb just slides) have a tendency to lose their tension if one fusses too much. Note how the back of the assembly looks before you remove old bulb and shoot for that same angle. This is one of those things that are easy when you have done it a few times and have a feel for the job. You do not the feedback of a positive stop or click that tells you the assembly is in.
