Oil pan has been dropped Posted by vvack0matic [Email] ![]() ![]() |
What a complete B**ch that was, pardon my french. Opted for using the motor jack instead of doing the 2x4 trick, but come to find the motor only goes up so far because the lower serp wheel hits the sub-frame. (1st pick)
So while the wheel was at the sub-frame I slid a floor jack under the trans'(auto) and jacked it up a tad more which allowed the pan to scrap quite forcefully down the flywheel and out of the car. For the amount of sludge` there was very little. Almost none in the oil pan except for what you see in pic#2 (ill post the pic) and as for the pic up screen. little to none. The dried slug that was on it came off within 30 seconds. Hardly worth buying a new pickup screen. (couldn't get a super clear pic.) oil must have got on the camera or something. One thing I did find though a pipe laying on top of the oil pan. I`ll start a new post for it
