Oil light flickering

I've had this 2000 95 V-6 for about 3 months. When I first bought, it had 120,00 miles, and a flickering oil light. Usually only happened when I was coming to a stop.
I had new timing belt, tensioner and water pump replaced also an oil pressure sensor. He also replaced all of the valve cover bolts, as they were stripped out.Mechanic checked oil pressure, said it was 45psi. (I am sure he only checked it one way, as he is not a Saab mechanic.) He was able to stop light from flickering.
Until the other day. It has started flickering again, when I stop, and not even all the time. I replaced oil filler cap (it was slightly leaking. Mechanic said to also increase idle to around 750 (manual says 700)
Help, this man is a great mechanic, but has probably not worked on a lot of Saabs, as there are just not that many around. No Saab dealer at all, for 250 miles. I am leaning towards thinking that he is right, and I should probably increase idle slightly, as this does turn light off.
Have heard how dire this symptom can be, but still seems to run fine.
Any help is sooo appreciated. I know this is long, but only way I can try to describe.
James
