Update on suspect starter. 9-5 Arc

Had my car towed to an independent SAAB only shop. The car would not turn over but would only make a clicking sound. The solenoid on the starter itself was the source of the click. I think the starter is intermittent. When the car got to to the shop, it turned over just fine but they said the engine spun over like there was no compression. They even checked the timing belt and not broken. They said after cranking for 5 minutes or so, it started. The verdict of low compression they said was caused by the cylinders being washed with gasoline. I guess all the times I tried to get it started shot gasline in the cylinders? The mechanic said he started the vehicle around 100 times and it worked perfectly. I told them to replace the starter anyway but the 2002 and 2003 Arc are the only 2 years that use this model of starter. Nothing local so they would need to order one. I picked up my car Friday night and so far, so good. I did find a rebuildable starter off a 2003 9-5 Arc for $30. The junkyard says it works fine. I'm thinking if my car continues to turn over, I will have time to get a spare starter rebuilt and ready to install - JIC.
The only thing that is different is the weather is warmer. We've been in the high 20's and low 30's when it was acting up. Now it's been in the 40's. Crossing my fingers!
