You really don't need the "two red lines". They are no longer present on either of my 2001 9.5's. Align the "0" point on the 0 to 12 positive and negative scale with the center of the bubble and you will be approximately with the "two red lines". It helps to shine a bright lamp through the headlight lens when viewing the scale. Make sure you follow the manual guidelines for preparing the car for measurement. That said, I've never gone to the trouble of finding a 75g person to sit behind the wheel when aiming my headlights. Good luck.
