I had this exact same prob on 2003 Saab 95 Linear w 113k miles. I brought it to a local mech...he changed pressure sensor / still had problem. He changed oil pump gears / still had problem. He dropped oil pan was very clean, he took valve cover off and couldn't find any issues. He put it back together unfortunately using some sort of silicon that then screwed up my turbo...which was 8 months new. Former Saab dealer didn't want to help really diagnose and resolve the problem...wanted to sell me a fiat 500 instead. I sold the car via Craigslist basically not getting much but the guy that bought let me know what the issue really was that if fixed wouldn't have caused my other issues. There's a little piston that puts tension on the timing chain (at least that's what I recall). That piston broke, failed, whatever...but not really that big of a job to fix.
Check that out. I hope It helps. I do miss my laser red 95 that I maintained well til I had to let her go...I think I have a pic of the issue. I'll try to post it when I get home tonight.
