Thanks for the info - I have been waffling on whether to go with the SP9000s or the much cheaper Kuhmos. I only do about 12,000 miles per year in my Aero Wagon, so long tread life is not my highest priority... but OTH I do not like to have to replace tires prematurely.
I too am a semi-old fart - almost at the big 50. I used to haul ass on motorcycles back when the Brits made the hottest things on the road - I did not even have a car until I was in my early 20s. Bikes got too scary fast for me in the late 80s and I lost a buddy in a bike accident, so now I travel in four fast wheels.
