Far more bad stories than good Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Tue, 19 Mar 2013 03:00:46 In Reply to: Re: Remove the entire headlamp bucket, saabsince 93b [Profile/Gallery] , Mon, 18 Mar 2013 16:13:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
You may not be the only one who has had success with super inexpensive lamps, but the stories of these inexpensive new lamps faling out of the box or shortly afterward are dominant.
The difficulty in replacing HID lamps with the '06 and new fascia is enough to make you only want to do the job once, so pay a little more for the lamps to avoid problems. My '08 9-5 uses the Halogen lamps but my wife's '06 9-3 has the HID lamps and also requires dropping the fascia to access the buckets. A job I will be doing soon.
