I used a pliers and a screwdriver from the front and pulled from the back. Then I removed the electrical connection when I got it out.
My outside temp showed 122 and I tried checking the plug and I just got a new sensor and it fixed the problem. It just snaps in place. Look for one on thesaabsite.com and you will see the 3 parts that hold it in place.
