That "trim" is the entire dash pad. Above the glovebox, all that grey pleather - including the passenger side air vents - is one huge piece from A pillar to A pillar. Not a trivial task to remove.
First thing I'd do is make sure the glovebox assembly is in there good and tight. Several screws along the top edge (door open), then a few more in the footwell area.
Of course, you'll also have emptied the glovebox to ensure nothing in it is causing the squeak...
There is also an access panel on the side that is blocked by the door (symmetrical with the one that covers the fuses...). Maybe you can remove the cover and peek inside to see if you can see anything.
