There is a Charge Air Temp Sensor Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 2 Jun 2013 12:53:12 In Reply to: Getting warm again, and 9-5 still getting slow...(long), Tulsaab [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 2 Jun 2013 11:48:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
This may be a time to use your new tool and verify if this sensor is providing appropriate outputs at summer time temperatures.
The problem may be the intercooler itself. If the fins are damaged or plugged the charge air may be too warm for better performance and economy during the summer. The sensors are detecting this elevated temperature and the ECU is adjusting as per its internal maps.
