I'm using a Yakima HighLite on our sedan. I chose it because it is lighter than a typical hitch rack, which is useful with the weak rear suspensions on these cars (all the weight on the rack is on a big lever arm). It can use either a 1.25" or 2" receiver (whereas many bigger ones are only 2"). Works really well, but like anything good, it's not cheap. There's also a 2 bike version, and the 3 bike version fits most kids bikes (if you put the top tube over). I've had 5 bikes in/on our sedan (+ surfboards on the roof at the same time).
One thing I have noticed is that with the car loaded with gear and 3 bikes on the back, the bottom of the hitch will actually scrape the road if you transition the car from flat to sloped too quickly... which is obvious, except, a pretty mild transition at slow speed can cause this, so watch out! probably the case with all racks! they are mostly meant for SUVs it seems.
The other thing I've noticed on the sedan is loading it with bikes on the back really sucks up the gas mileage. That should be less of a problem on the wagon because the bikes are already in the turbulent flow.
good luck!
