Since the expansion valve is in the engine compartment, I would say not very hot at all. The evaporator near the cabin filter should be in the 40F-50F range when the A/C is cycling. There is a heater core in the climate control box and that could be in the 190F-210F range. Now if you are under the hood of the car, the high side pipe can be 200F, although it should be cooler than that after the condenser does its job.
