Agree with all, but can remove the wipers with a ball joint removal tool. Much easier than a puller
in my opinion. Just did this for my daughters car. Cleaned and replaced the brushes in the motor. If this has not been done on this car, needs to be done anyway.
DIY for the motor requires a brush set available on ebay. Desolder, remove old brushes (easy) and fit new brushes in the motor.
1) Mark where wipers are on windscreen
2) Remove washer arm bolts
3) Use a ball joint removal tool to remove washer arms (or something else)
4) Remove the plastic cover being careful not to break of clips that hold it against the windscreen. Remove the cover to the front without prying up as much as possible
5) Remove the wiper arm assembly
6) Remove the holding bar on the passenger side
7) Remove the wiper holding piece in the center of the car. Two bolts out the front and the one on the bottom only needs to be loosened.
8) Remove the 4 screws on the turtle cover being careful not to drop
9) Remove the turtle cover taking the wire from the cover and it will unplug straight from the motor
10) Remove the motor, it will slide up and out and carefully take out
Inspect the motor and clean with rubbing alchol and / or electronic cleaning spray with q tips until clean.
Replace the brushes with soldering iron. Remove them by taking the two clips off. Keep in mind there is a spring behind the clips.
May have to trim brushes to size depending on kit.
Test the motor by hold it with TWO HANDS and have someone do the internal fan speed. Make sure it goes full speed and low speed.
