A mild hassle but not too pain full.
Manually turn off all accessory items before you turn off the ignition: radio, headlights, anything plugged into the lighter/power oulet, etc.
Turn off the car and use the key in the driver side door cylinder to lock all doors (You will lose use of the remote functions built into the key too).
You will also need to use the door cylinder to unlock the car.
This is why I placed "Order a new cylinder' as Step #1 above.
